Journaling + AI for Better Mental Clarity

Hey,

I wanted to share something I've been working on, which really stems from my own recent experiences and how I've been navigating some challenges.

Like many others, I've actually been using tools like ChatGPT as a kind of advisor or even a therapist. I find this quite interesting, and it seems to be a common thing when you're facing a difficult situation or just need some clarity. For me, and from what I've seen and heard, it's become a natural first place to go for a 'brain dump' – either typing or using the voice mode.

This got me thinking, especially over the last year when I found myself in quite a difficult place with my mental health. I was dealing with stress, a lot of anxiety, and panic attacks. One thing that really helped me during that time was journaling. Journaling is a great activity for clearing your mind. However, while journaling helps you get things out, I realised I missed something that I get from using ChatGPT: the feedback. I missed the ability for it to reorganise my thoughts and present them back to me in a clear way.

So, I started using both journaling and ChatGPT together as tools to help with decision-making, improve my mental health, and generally make better life decisions.

This combination of approaches has directly led me to my next personal project, which I'm now ready to start building in public and bring you along on the journey. It's basically an AI journaling app. Now, I know there are many journaling apps out there, so this isn't a completely new concept, but I think this app will offer something quite unique.

The core idea is to combine the two things that helped me most: journaling and using AI as your advisor. Essentially, it's a journaling app that will have a bunch of 'advisers' working in the background. These AI advisers will read your journal entries and provide their insights.

Imagine this: you could have a Therapist AI, perhaps a Business Mentor AI, or even a Personal Relationship Advisor AI available. Depending on whose perspective you're interested in at that moment, they will be able to give you feedback based on what you've written.

But it goes beyond just immediate feedback. Over time, these AIs will start learning about your habits, your likes, and dislikes. Crucially, they'll start spotting patterns in your life through your journal entries. They could potentially identify what kinds of things lead to stressful situations, what makes you feel happy, or what environments help you make better business decisions – essentially spotting recurring patterns in your life.

I'm building this project primarily because I believe it will help me, and I also think it has the potential to help quite a lot of other people too.

If this sounds interesting, I'm going to be sharing my journey as I build it. And for any entrepreneurs following along, I'll also be sharing everything I'm doing around marketing, launching, and I'll give you all the numbers behind the scenes. Come join me!

I’ll be sharing everything in my newsletter and on my YouTube channel.
